My Great Grandmother believed in elves and was certain that they lived in the hill behind her house. She used to say, when things went missing, that the elves had needed them and would bring them back and that children should play quietly around the hill so as not to disturb the elves.

I am brought up thinking that nothing is impossible and all you need is your imagination. I possess an invaluable bank of memories from childhood that can be linked directly to this mind-set. Airplane lights in the night sky became spaceships and two Igloos in the snow were the center of the universe.
